Is there a better combination than humour and gastronomy in an iconic place? Of course, when the solidarity factor comes into play.
Last Thursday, July 25, at 6:30 pm, La Fábrica in Málaga was filled with laughter and some very select attendees who attended the monologue of solidarity humour Together we are not alone, by the hand of the Malaga humourist Tomás García and his grandmother. The solidarity event, organized by Grupo Premium Foundation in collaboration with La Fábrica and the Asociación Dyar, featured a comedy show with plenty of laughter and snacks that made the evening a complete experience.
Aim – To promote the inclusion of our elders
Grupo Premium Foundation organized this show in the Soho neighbourhood in collaboration with the Asociación Dyar. The association provides support and companionship to the elderly by organizing recreational and social activities that promote inclusion and well-being. The funds raised thanks to the event were allocated so that 100 members of the Asociación Dyar could enjoy this experience and receive a check with the event’s benefits for their outstanding work.
The perfect pairing to an evening of laughter
Although they say that laughter is food for the soul, it is better to laugh on a full stomach. The evening offered a cocktail-style menu, which included avocado tartare, croquettes, hummus, Brie cheese bites, battered squid and little beef burgers, among others. Of course, you could not miss the craft beers of La Fábrica, in addition to Carramimbre red wine, Embrumas white wine, draft beer and soft drinks. The perfect pairing for such a fun evening.
Objective met
“One of our founding purposes is to give back to Malaga society what it gives to us, and we can think of no better way to do it than to accompany and entertain elderly people who find it very difficult to enjoy these moments and experiences,” said José Manuel Montalvo, president of the Grupo Premium Foundation.
Grupo Premium Foundation, thanks to Together, we are not alone. We not only managed to fulfil its purpose of offering an evening of entertainment and solidarity but also promoted the inclusion and well-being of the elderly. One only had to look at their faces with enthusiasm and joy to affirm the success of the initiative.
